My name is Eric Hammerle and I am running for re-election for Camillus First Ward Councilor. It has been my honor and privilege to have served the residents of the First Ward over the past four years.

I have lived in Camillus since the age of 2. I love the community and have chosen to raise my family here.

I have been married for 20 years to my wife Casey. We have two boys, Dylan is 18 and Brendan is 14.

I graduated in 1988 from West Genesee High School. I received my Associates degree from Onondaga Community College. I continued on at SUNY Brockport where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education. I continued my education by receiving my New York State Teaching Certification at SUNY Cortland.

I am currently completing my 4th year as First Ward Councilor. I also serve as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee. I am currently employed as the Upstate Marketing Representative for Shelterpoint Life Insurance Company. I have held this position for 12 years. I have a very diverse work background. I spent 8 years in hotel and restaurant management. After leaving college I spent 7 years as a substitute teacher and junior high and high school coach. My diverse work experience provides me with vast experience in dealing with people, employees and budgets.

My family and I have always been involved in numerous community events and activities. We are parishioners of Holy Family Church. I coached for 25 years in the Holy Family youth basketball program. I am currently the junior high boys basketball coach at Holy Family. I coached baseball for Camillus Softball and Baseball Association for 8 years, and I was a football coach for the West Genesee Athletic Club for 8 years. I am currently involved in the West Genesee Save Modified Sports program as a board member and volunteer. Both of my children are still very active in school and community sports teams.

My interests include camping, golf, traveling with my family and coaching.

Camillus has always been home to me and my family and is a great place to live, work and raise a family. I have the experience and dedication needed to keep Camillus moving in the right direction. The Town of Camillus is seeing tremendous growth and development and I would like to continue to be a part of it.

Thank You,
Eric Hammerle
